I am a piano teacher, accompanist and performer based in Hornsby, Sydney. My parents introduced me to learning the piano when I was three and it was discovered I have perfect pitch. I studied under Professor Nicolai Evrov as a private student for many years and have over 10 years of teaching experience. I am totally passionate about sound, piano performance and music education, and I provide piano lessons for all ages in my Hornsby studio.
Having obtained a Licentiate Diploma (LMusA) from Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) in 2004, I teach all grades up to Associate Performance Diploma as well as music for leisure (jazz, pop & contemporary), and I help students prepare for Eisteddfods and competitions. My students achieved outstanding results (Honours average) in the 2019 and 2020 AMEB exams.
I have been the official accompanist for various instrumental and singing Eisteddfods in Sydney, and been a long-term accompanist and voice coach for a French cabaret singer. I have a keen interest in musical theatre and worked as a piano répétiteur and keyboardist for various community musical productions.
I work with other musicians on a regular basis, and always encourage / create opportunities for my students to collaborate with other musicians, to demonstrate that playing music can be a fun and interesting experience.
Apart from teaching and accompanying, I have been engaged as a soloist or member of a band for weddings, birthdays, baby showers & corporate functions. The styles I perform include jazz, classical, pop, contemporary or special requests, and tailor my performance to meet your requirements at your important social occasions.
